Serendipity: A Sound Journey in the Rainforest

Living in a city for a long time, I was longing to reconnect to nature. Can sound interaction design allow users to be awed by the beauty and health of the forest while walking around our homes? In my work "Serendipity: A Sound Journey in the Rainforest," I paired everyday activities inside a room to the soundscape of the tropical rainforest. Through the use of projections and light effects, I designed an immersive journey that took you beyond the confines of one's home into the heart of the forest, creating one's own healing within all the daily routine.

Highlight Scenes

This project is to calm stressed and wounded souls by studying how natural sounds can create a unique atmosphere for our homes.

More importantly, it intends to explore the concept of "invisible soundscapes". In the future development of the project, I would like to create more "invisible soundscapes" that break through our concepts about sounds, exploring themes such as exotic worlds, dreams and realities, and crazy daily life.
